Trinity Church is only a small part of the total brotherhood of United Methodist churches and an even smaller part of the total Body of Christ. Yet, we all are expressions of the Body of Christ and feel an obligation to communicate to all where we stand in relation to Orthodox Christian teaching. Therefore, statements of belief have been incorporated to help orient the newcomer to the direction and theological orientation of this congregation.
Statement of Faith
We believe the Bible to be the inspired, only infallible authoritative Word of God.
2 Peter 1:21 2 Timothy 3:16,17
We believe there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
Eph. 4:6 1 Jn 5:7
We believe in the diety of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and His personal return in power and glory.
Jn1:14 1 Peter 3:13
We believe that for the salvation of lost and sinful man regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential.
Romans 3:24-25 2 Cor 5:17
We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost, them that are saved unto the resurrection of life and them that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation.
Acts 24:15 Jn 5:28-29.
We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ.
Eph 4:4-6
We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a Godly life.
Jn 14:26 Phil 4:13
We believe in the full expression of the gifts of the Holy Spirit in the Body of Christ as outlined in 1 Cor 12-14, Romans 12 and Ephesians 4, for the purpose of empowering the church for its mandate to win the world to Christ.
We hope that upon attending our church you will find a warm and loving body of Christians who sincerely desire to serve the living Christ. We invite you to become a part of this church.
